  •   How much luggage are we allowed to bring?

Your travel consultant can guide you on the local currency, or your local guide can assist on the destination. However, we always recommend that you bring a Visa card or MasterCard, preferably both.

  •   Can we get the internet on the mobile during the journey?

In most airports, there will be limited/ free internet services. There are also generally small stalls/shops in the arrival’s hall selling SIM cards with mobile data. They install it all on the phone for you, and in this way, you are guaranteed internet throughout the journey and you can make use of Messenger on Facebook and WhatsApp.

  •   How long before is it necessary to arrive at the airport?

Check the official check-in times on airport and airline websites. As a basic rule, it states that you must arrive 2 hours before departure on shorter journeys, and 3 hours on longer journeys. But always leave at a good time, as there may be a wait at check-in and security. We recommend that you use online check-in, as this can also save you some time at the airport.

  •   Do we have to arrange for our luggage to be moved on stopovers?

Your luggage is moved between flights automatically when it is the same airline you are flying with. A number of companies do cooperate, but ask about this when checking in at the airport.

  •   What is a voucher?

Your vouchers act as a ticket and proof for various transfers, overnight stays and excursions. Each voucher contains information about which service it applies to. You will be sent your vouchers approximately 3 weeks before departure. It is important that you collate and check your vouchers as soon as possible, in relation to the agreed itinerary with the respective tour operator. In case of discrepancies and errors, contact the tour operator so that we can get it fixed.

  •   How much should we tip?

It depends on the country you visit. You can ask your guide or the tour operator. But a good rule of thumb is 5 to 10% of the bill if you feel you received a good service.

  •   What do we do with our luggage when we go on an excursion?

Your excursion description will usually state whether or not you can bring some items or luggage with you. If your luggage cannot be brought on the excursion, ask at the hotel reception or the guide where you can leave your luggage.

  •   What if one of us gets sick while traveling?

The first thing you should do is see a local doctor, or get help at the hotel or tour operator. Then contact your travel insurance for further help and guidance.

  •   We have problems with our transfers, what do we do?

If you cannot find the vehicle you have booked, or meet and assist person; you must contact the tour operator in the country in question. The service telephone number appears clearly on all your vouchers. This applies to all transfers, to/from the airport, hotel and excursions. Note that any transfer included, must appear on your vouchers.

  •   Emergency numbers

Always call the local agent on the number that appears on your vouchers, they are easier to help you because: They are present at our destinations. There might be an emergency number that is available 24/7. If your emergency is outside the scope of the agent, they will guide your embassy or consulate. It may also be your travel insurance company that you need to contact.
